Catching up

It's been awhile, this boy keeps us busy!
Poor little guy has been sick again for what seems like the 10th time! Acutally second but this has been the worse, and his first fever. It started Saturday when he was congested, sneezing, coughing and all that good stuff. We think he has allergies too because when Merrick has them bad so does Owen and they are usually only bad in the morning. He finally started acting like he was feeling better today. I took him to the Dr yesterday, I knew they don't give babies anything for colds but I was worried he maybe had an ear infection and they wanted to make sure it wasn't settling in his chest. Everything on that end looked good, Dr Marshall said he had an upper respitortory infection (cold) and just have to wait it out. On top of the cold he has not been sleeping at night at ALL. We have been up a lot so we are trying to figure out how to beat that as well. He isn't eating so we know he isn't hungry, just wants us to come in his room. Everyone says it's just a "phase" we are just hoping this little phase doesn't last too long!! :)
He weighed 14 lbs 15 oz yesterday at the Dr. He has his 4 month appointment the beginning of October, that's hard to believe!
He is starting to like toys and trying to figure out how to grab them and put them in his mouth. He LOVES his hands and has them constantly in his mouth. Today the babysitter had to change him because he drooled so much. He is full of smiles that will melt your heart! I tell Merrick he has a smile that he flashes him that is different from anyone else, it's amazing.
He is quite the talker, he babbles and chats the more we talk to him the more he talks back. The other night we couldn't even hear each other because he wanted the floor to talk.
He's so fun and we just love watching him change daily.
