DIY

What did I do before Pinterest?? I get so many great recipes, decorating ideas, organizing ideas the list just goes on! I decided to try making my own laundry soap. So far, it has been wonderful, I'm really impressed with how white our clothes are and they smell great too. After making the soap my house smelled good for days. I found the recipe here: Homemade Laundry Soap

I mixed all the ingredients in a 5 gallon bucket. I'm glad I used a trash bag as a liner because I had some left over that would not fit in my jar. So I just closed it up and put it in my laundry closet until the next refill.

My little helper. He loved to walk around with the bucket before it had soap in it.

Smelled so good!

The worse part was grating the bar soap! My hands kept cramping up. Probably didn't help that I used a cheese grater from the 1980's.

We had a mess on the floor, he thought he needed to help me scoop it in the jar.

Surprisingly all the bar soap dissolves very easily in the water.

There you have it!
